Bella
"Bella has gained so much confidence in just the last few months. She is one of the best examples of how patience, understanding and positive reinforcement training can help animals have a better life."

Bella came to us pregnant in the summer of 2014 after a kind lady bought her from a meat supplier. Two months later, Bella gave birth to her son, George.
From the day she arrived, Bella would not come near any of the humans at SABRC. Her previous handling and experiences, including being a mother to many babies who were taken away from her, gave her no reason to trust or bond with anyone.
Over a period of months, with much patience, love, and encouragement - but no force - Bella started to approach us and take food from us.
After 2 years of force-free positive reinforcement training, Bella has emerged as a pony who will engage on her terms; she always has the choice to walk away.
With your kind donation, we can ensure that Bella has the veterinary care and food she requires.
We will continue to ensure that Bella has a safe, force-free environment where she can express herself and live happily with her son.
